Developing Your Art in Colour (Watercolour and Acrylic)

The Entrance

This class is aimed at beginner's interested in embarking on their journey of painting! Gain confidence and discover your strengths - this class is suitable for those with no previous drawing or painting experience, or those wishing to get back to their creative passions after a long break while life got in the way. Each lesson students will be guided through the basic fundamentals and build up on their knowledge and skill sets with exercises designed to get them comfortable painting on their own. We will look at colour theory, application, watercolour techniques, composition and a range of inspirational subject matter to get the paint flowing.
 

Materials

A range of brushes in different sizes: round brushes recommended in small, medium and large, flat brushes in a small and medium, a large wide brush for washes. Good quality pad of watercolour paper: A3 to A2 size, 100% cotton, 300+ GSM, sketchbook for notes and colour theory, pencil for drawing (HB recommended) eraser and sharpener, Optional: Additional materials will be advised by your teacher but may include: Acrylic paints in warm and cool of red, blue and yellow. Black + White. Canvas Boards.
