Gosford Regional Gallery has opportunites for kids throughout the year, including after school term classes, school holiday workshops and our annual About Face children's portrait prize.
In addition we have free kids activities available including the children's art space on the foyer verandah and free craft during the school holidays. Feeding the koi fish in the Edogawa Commemorative Garden is also a favourite activity for families.

About Face Competition
Budding artists aged between 5 and 18 are invited to submit a portrait for the About Face competition, as part of our family-focused activities for 2026.
The portrait should be of a person who is special to you - someone who is known to you and plays a significant role in your life.
There are four age categories:
• 5-8 year olds
• 9-12 year olds
• 13-15 year olds
• 16-18 year olds
To be eligible your portrait must be A4 and be submitted in person to reception with your child's name, age and contact person/number written on the back. Make sure to REGISTER your entry. Keep an eye out for registrations opening, where you will also find important additional instructions.
