Gosford Regional Gallery
There are many ways in which you can get involved in and support your local gallery. Volunteering is a great way of becoming part of the team and an opportunity to share your valuable skills, knowledge and experience.
Our volunteer team assists in customer service and reception duties, serving in the gallery shop, working at events, providing guided tours and a number of other administrative opportunities.
Most importantly, our volunteers help welcome our visitors and audiences, making the experience of coming to Gosford Regional Gallery memorable and unique.
Positions Available - we are looking for volunteers who are happy to be trained in these roles. We have availability for regular and casual shifts.
Shifts are either 9:15 -12:15pm or 12:15pm – 4:15pm
Key attributes: Good communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to different situations.
Visitor Services Volunteer- this is a meet and greet position requiring a friendly person to provide directions and general information to customers entering the Gosford Regional Gallery and Edogawa Commemorative Gardens.
You may also be asked to help with various tasks such as
• Checking the noticeboard is neat and tidy and up to date,
• checking and restocking brochures
• doing regular checks of the gardens
• tidying the art activity table
• helping with mail outs
• preparing art activities and other tasks as needed.
Volunteer Gallery Attendants - are the first point of contact for Gallery visitors, providing information about the program & distributing catalogues. Gallery Attendants enhance the visitors' experience by creating a warm and inviting place to visit while ensuring the Gallery is a secure and safe place for visitors and art works.
About the Role
• Greet Gallery visitors and familiarise visitors with the exhibition program on display
• Ensure the Gallery and exhibitions are safe and secure at all times
• Distribute information, handouts and catalogues.
You’ll be joining a team of over 100 volunteers with a volunteer program that includes training & social activities set in the amazing Art Gallery and Japanese Gardens.
