ADVANCED - (WEDNESDAY) Grades 7 - 11: High School - This course has been designed to help students develop creatively in their own unique ways. Activities are open for choice, but structured around a concept or theme. A variety of options are offered, but a starting point is used when exploring different techniques and materials. Students are urged to engage in a variety of approaches to grasp concepts and topics. These are designed to improve ways of seeing in a Visual Art manner and explore multiple perceptions to advance their knowledge and skills. Both Art References and Objects are used to improve students observation skills and art practice development.
By the end of each term students select work to incorporate into a display sleeve to help evolve an ongoing professional portfolio that can be revisited for quality choice of their artwork. On occasions we may explore a range of other medias as a shakeup to improve our drawing and painting abilities. This usually occurs in Term 4 for ongoing students as part of the "Create your own Adventure" topic and is for those that need to be extended. New students who need a more structured approach are accommodated. All materials included
