Aksara Harriram | Temporal Echoes from Surreal Landscapes

Harriram interprets imaginative spaces, focusing on the dynamic and evolving nature of geological landscapes shaped by natural forces and human memory. Her work features vibrant colours reminiscent of childhood wonder in these floating suburbs.

Floating Suburb Project
From bustling cities with skyscrapers to humble suburban homes. Home is a place of comfort and belonging.  What do we regard as home? What iconic forms of architecture spark your imagination? You are invited to make a creation to add to this future city by creating a cardboard structure alongside Newcastle-based artist Aksara Harriram. Visiting guests will nurture their imagination using forms of cardboard engineering by folding, cutting and bending to create their own pieces to grow this evolving art installation exploring the notion of their sense of home.

Opening event: Friday 6 March 2026 at 6pm. RSVP at www.trybooking.com/DHYZJ
