Monochrome is a collaborative exhibition of works in clay by 24 members of the Central Coast Potters Society Inc.
The theme Monochrome; using only black, white, and grey; or a colour scheme comprising tones, tints, and shades of a single hue; has taken these members on a journey, exploring the many facets of clay, delving into the colour scheme, pushing the members to find in their work the meaning of Monochrome.
The members have come together to produce works from domestic ware to sculptural pieces, using a variety of techniques, contrasting shape, design, texture and variations in tone to explore Monochrome, producing this cohesive exhibition.
Linked to the exhibition will be examples of different techniques with an explanation of each method, informing the public of many of the potters’ practices and processes.
Opening event: Saturday 9 May at 2pm. Everyone welcome.
