Saki, born and raised in Osaka, is a Sydney-based jewellery designer and the creator behind Knot 'n Knot. Specialising in Mizuhiki, a traditional Japanese craft made from washi paper cords, her work celebrates this beautiful Japanese art form. Mizuhiki has been cherished for centuries in Japan to celebrate special occasions, with each knot symbolising blessings like love, luck, and happiness.
Since moving to Sydney in 2018, Saki has deepened her appreciation for Japanese culture and crafts. Creating Mizuhiki jewellery is her way of staying connected to her roots while introducing others to the beauty of the tradition. Each piece is handmade with care, combining tradition with modern design.
Based in Hornsby, Saki often visits friends in the Central Coast and enjoys the area as one of her favourite weekend destinations.
