Yaama, my name is Maree Walford. I'm a proud Gamilaraay/ Yuwaalaraay from Lightning Ridge, NSW. I've lived on the Central Coast going on 4 years. My art background is in cultural textiles, natural dying and natural art. This is my first year as an artist tutor at the Gosford Gallery. I have experiences as a primary school teacher, after school and school holiday program coordinator and currently an artist educator at the MCA in Sydney.  I am passionate about teaching my culture through art in textiles and other creative experiences influenced by nature and country.
